Amie Mcmurchie

Amie McMurchie graduated in May of 2013 from Dominican University of California/Alonzo King LINES Ballet BFA Program. She earned a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in Dance as well as earning a Minor in Psychology. While in school she discovered the JUNTOS Collective; whose goal is to bring dance to under privileged communities in Central America. Amy pioneered bringing JUNTOS Collective to Dominican University by becoming the Student Ambassador; because of that JUNTOS still draws Dominican students to their programs today. With JUNTOS, Amy traveled to Mexico and Guatemala to teach and perform. There she learned dance has the ability to inspire self-esteem in individuals and bring communities together. Amy is currently a dancer with the Inside Out Contemporary Ballet located in Marin.  She is interested in both teaching and performing dance to share the joy it can bring to individual lives.
